What is RYLA?
Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) is a unique opportunity for high school students to gain insight and knowledge in life and leadership skills.
District 7040 Rotary Clubs sponsor students (ages 15-17) to attend this Youth Leadership Conference that gives them a memorable and life changing experience.

What do students experience at the Youth Leadership Conference?
Students mix and mingle with other high school students from Quebec, Ontario and Northern New York. This provides them with a unique opportunity to learn about different communities and cultures. They also learn about themselves, their values, as well as having fun. Based on their conference experience, many graduates change their career objectives or educational plans.

Where does the Youth Leadership Conference take place?
The conference takes place at Paul Smith’s College on the shores of St Regis Lake where the students stay in the college’s newest dorm suites for two days. The program culminates with a graduation and awards ceremony at the award-winning Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY.

Transportation for students is the responsibility of the sponsoring club, as is the attendance cost, reduced this year to $375 U.S. per student. The application process has been simplified and will be done online as soon as the application period begins in mid-February.
