Our club was honored to be visited by District Governor Graeme Fraser, accompanied by his wife, Lynne. Graeme & Lynne also joined us earlier in the week at our Dam Duck Race evening picnic. Graeme's address to the club stressed the important accomplishments of Rotary, particularly on a global basis in improving environmental health, the eradication of polio, and campaigning against human trafficking. While these are important elements of the Rotary Action Plan, Graeme also noted that being a Rotarian makes for camaraderie among neighbors and here in Lake Placid, with our Canadian cousins. The work of the Rotary Foundation and the support it needs to accomplish humanitarian goals was also talked about. For you fashionistas, check out Lynne's Rotary shoes.
