This week's meeting featured a presentation from members Harris Semegram & Chandler Ralph, providing an update on the Bark Park's status. The short term goal will have fencing companies provide an estimate for constructing a fence. In coordination with the Town of North Elba and North Elba Park District, once the fencing is in place, we believe we will have the Park open late Spring/early Summer. The presentation reviewed project costs/our club's fair share. The goal of the presentation was to illustrate how having a dog park provides economic opportunities for local businesses and importantly, providing a safe outlet for the mental and physical health of the dogs (and their humans) with play and socialization.
