Mitch Teich is Station Manager for North Country Public Radio (NCPR).  This morning Mitch spent an hour with us in a broad-ranging discussion about NCPR's presence and its diverse programming from in-depth original news features to a broad spectrum of music.  We learned about Mitch's journey through public radio and the role public radio plays in providing listeners with content that is unique and thought-provoking.  We had some techhie stuff on how NCPR reaches its listeners on the FM band and through the internet.  Mitch also commented on the future of terrestial radio, the influence of the talk radio format and how he reacts and learns from listener comments - both pro and con.  NCPR recently won 7 regional Edward R. Murrow awards for overall excellence and other categories.  Visit https://www.northcountrypublicradio.org and be part of the important role NCPR has in the North Country.
