At today's meeting, Emily Kilburn Politi presented an overview of the activities of the Lake Placid Institute for the Arts & Humanities  The Institute involves numerous school districts within the Adirondacks to encourage students with interest in photography and/or poetry to showcase their talents.  Student works get published and are also placed in a public gallery display.  In addition, the Institute runs a chamber music seminar and conducts roundtable breakfast sessions (open to the public) offering a chance to hear and interact with notable people from various disciplines such as John Bogle, Gov. Madeline Kunin and James Burrows.
