In 2022, the Adirondack Mountain Club celebrates its 100th anniversary. The Club's Executive Director, Michael Barrett, spoke with us at today's meeting, outlining the club's goals and objectives - both short and long term. Recently the Club closed on the Cascade Ski Center property and will use it to provide a welcome/education center for all. Michael also took us through several of the line item proposed for the NY State Budget, which features a $10 million committment to improve trails, provide for more summit stewards, develop DEI programs to make the Forest Preserve more welcoming, amoung other things.
