Club member Martha Spear works for New York State, going behind prison walls, working with the incarcerated to prepare those who are nearing the end of their sentence for a productive return to society.  Those will longer terms can also benefit from improving social skills, as taught in the program.  Martha says she was "circumspect" in her comments to us.  In Martha's words, she provided "...a glimpse into the challenges faced by a relatively privileged person who has had no justice involvement in communicating effectively with incarcerated adults on intellectual and emotional levels." PROWD aligns job training and skills development services provided to federally incarcerated individuals to the labor market needs of the communities where they will live. In so doing, the program improves both the employment outcomes of returning citizens and public safety of all community members while increasing the capacity of justice and workforce system partnerships.  Martha also suggests https://rootsofsuccess.org/
