Lake Placid Central School's Nicole Trainor heads up Rotary's Interact program. Interact clubs bring together young people to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self.” This year, 15 seniors received special Interact Stoles to be worn at graduation. Additionally, the Red Cross provided two scholarships to deserving seniors. Nicole is shown with Alberth Gamez, an English as a New Language (ENL) student who joined Interact soon after moving to Lake Placid. He has served on many Interact projects. The second scholarship went to Anya Kern, highlighting her involvement in Interact activities, planning for college and an essay on how she plans to use skills learned through Interact in the future. Congratulations and much luck to Alberth and Anya.
