The robots are coming!  Actually, they're here and in the operating theatre at Adirondack Health.  Dr. Michael Hill, Chief of Surgery, took us through surgery's evolution and how robotics provides the surgeon with a tool to give patients a greater chance at a successful outcome from a procedure.  We were shown images of how the DaVinci and ION robots function, giving the surgeon a new level of precision.  Extensive training is given to providers on how to use the machine to mimic human movements in very small areas.  Will AI make its way into the operating room?  Possible but in a way that gives the surgeon a perspective on a surgery that is projected to have many benefits for the patient.  Dr. Hill is shown here with Rotarian Hannah Hanford, former Executive Director of the Adirondack Health Foundation.  Visit Dr. Hill's page at Adirondack Health here https://www.adirondackhealth.org/doctors/michael-hill
