The Teddy Bear Picnic returns, now organized by the Lake Placid Rotary's Interact club. A sunny early Fall day brought the teddy bears and the associated families to the grounds of St. Agnes RC Church for an afternoon of face-painting, games, snacks, books and a visit from the Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department. New this year was a Teddy Bear Hospital so those bears who are a little under the weather can get some help and be good as new. Our Rotary club inherited this annual event from the now closed Kiwanis Club and now with the energy from our Interact group (plus Club volunteers), we'll be looking forward to brining more smiles and joy to the youngest members of our community.
