At today's meeting we inducted our club's newest member Dr. Jeffrey Arliss. A retired physician, he is, in his words, "slowly adjusting to the retired phase." Moving to Lake Placid from the New Paltz area, Jeff has done volunteer work in the past but now as part of getting more involved with community service, he found that Rotary is an excellent way to make this happen. As part of his introduction to our club activities, Jeff will be joining our Club Service committee. He'll be involved in planning our club socials/parties or projects that involve understanding how our club functions and carries out our many community projects.
