At our latest meeting, Rotarian Kate Thompson shared some inspiring updates from our Rotary Interact club as the school year comes to a close. Interact is our dedicated program for local youth, and it was a true privilege to celebrate their achievements. The graduating seniors within Interact were officially presented with their club sashes to wear at graduation. The Interact club has grown to include about 35 active members this year. Demonstrating the incredible spirit of local volunteerism, the community gave out $125,000 in scholarship money to students in Lake Placid alone. Kate emphasized that while bringing new adult members into the club remains a priority, it is equally vital to foster leadership and service among the younger generation. The incredible engagement of these 35 students proves that the future of Rotary is in great hands! Thank you to everyone who helped support our youth and made this a fantastic year of service.
