At today's meeting, our Literacy Committee made several awards from proceeds earned though donations and events such as our Trivia Nights Going from left to right in this picture: Mary Liz Alexander (Literacy Committee), Baz Perry (Lake Placid Library to expand 3 projects in science, non-fiction for early readers and a dual language collection), Katie Turner (St. Agnes School for book purchases), Martha Swan and Adaylane Perryman (John Brown Lives! for the Adirondack Book Fair), Randy Quayle and Roger Catania (Literacy Committee). It's through support from the community that makes these awards possible and the Committee looks forward to being able to make more presentations in 2027.
