Helping Our Community via the CensusWhen you respond to the census, you help your community get its fair share of the more than $675 billion per year in federal funds spent on schools, hospitals, roads, public works and other vital programs. Businesses use census data to decide where to build factories, offices and stores, and this creates jobs. Right now our response rates are low. Look for yourself: https://bit.ly/3dNp07P If you've completed your response, great. Talk to your friends and neighbors - participation is VERY important. Go to https://my2020census.gov |

Bob Hanna Explains Attendance vs. ParticipationUnder the guidance of Rotarian Bob Hanna at our July assembly we reviewed Rotary's evolving Attendance Requirement which is now called Participation. Our Club has been a key contributor to this change. So Congratulations to ALL. The following is a summary of the July Discussion
Participation vs Attendance
RI has attendance rules which are aimed at keeping members involved and participating. These rules have been softened in the 100 plus years since RI started and the emphasis is now more on Participation, recognizing that Attendance keeps us involved and knowledgeable of Rotary programs.

2014 Dam Duck Race Hugh Success
Posted by Randy Quayle
Despite rainy conditions, the Dam Duck Race raised over $13,000! Many thanks to Dam Duck Race coordinators, Tina Leonard and Debbie McLean and everyone else who helped to make this such a successful event. The water was high and the ducks were fast --- making it very challenging to catch the ducks at the end of the race, but no one got too wet! See some pictures: |
